About the role
Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. In this role, you’ll lead the Food & Beverage team to ensure product freshness, availability, accurate pricing, and proper signing on the sales floor. You’ll oversee operations, process efficiency, inventory accuracy, food safety, and presentation in all Food & Beverage areas of the store.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a consistent, easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience
- Train and hold team members accountable for guest experience commitments and operational consistency
- Observe and provide feedback, recognizing great guest experiences and addressing improvement areas
- Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities and drive results
- Plan and execute daily/weekly workloads to meet department and store sales goals, including food service transitions, revisions, sampling, promotions, and price changes
- Assign daily tasks based on workload and guest traffic patterns, aligning with business priorities
- Assess back-of-house, production areas, dining spaces, and merchandising for food safety and inventory levels
- Walk Food & Beverage standards and routines daily to identify business gaps
- Follow food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperatures of sensitive food items
- Validate team members’ progress against department checklists and routines
- Maintain Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards and production specifications (where applicable)
- Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices
- Follow perishable inventory management procedures to maintain accurate recording of inventory
- Make just-in-time production decisions to ensure freshness, in-stocks, sales, and profitability
- Stay updated on relevant trends and products to educate team members
- Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes
- Establish clear goals and expectations, holding team members accountable
- Complete all required Starbucks and/or Pizza Hut training and certifications
- Demonstrate and lead a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Model and recognize safe behaviors, correct hazards, and ensure team accountability for safety
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences
- Execute best practices and help close skill gaps through coaching and development
- Model physical security processes to enhance in-store security culture
- Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application
- Assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities as needed to enable guest experience
- Address store emergency and compliance needs
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive-up (DU) while maintaining compliance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Effective communication skills using multiple frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately
- Handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders if needed
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable and prompt attendance required
- Full-time role with no guaranteed 40 hours per week; hours depend on business needs
- Work in refrigeration, freezer temperatures, and environments with common allergens
- Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive-Ups, carryout)
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts (shift length may vary)
