About the role

Join our passionate Food Services Team as a full-time Food Service Supervisor. You’ll work alongside a manager to coordinate and lead operations, oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and step in wherever needed.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain work schedules; prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes).
  • Direct daily activities to ensure safe, high-quality food production according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.
  • Ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.
  • Maintain all serving schedules; serve food per menu specifications following Aramark policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a sanitary department in compliance with health and safety codes and regulations.
  • Conduct accurate weekly inventory; prepare orders as needed for accurate production.
  • Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel, promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
  • Train and mentor other food service workers.
  • Maintain logs on all maintenance required for department equipment.
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with appropriate corrective action.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist.
  • Recommend replacement of existing equipment to meet facility needs.
  • Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager when skills or experience are vital.
  • Fill in for absent employees at the location as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of daily catering events; confirm preparation and on-time delivery.
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
  • Attend food service meetings with staff.
  • Maintain communication with staff (office staff, email, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc.).
  • Perform cashier duties as needed.
  • Promote good public relations.

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.

Requirements

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year of employment.
  • Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost-effective program.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve situations effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills.
