Food Service Supervisor

The Commissary Supervisor is responsible for coordinating commissary operations at a jail, ensuring accurate receipt, tagging, pricing, and storage of merchandise. They supervise staff in performing tasks efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards, coordinate merchandise movement, and assist with guest purchases by cashiering when needed. Additionally, they manage special projects, communicate product updates, conduct inventory with management, and operate the point-of-sale system. Responsibilities also include training new hires on safety, POS systems, and job duties, as well as following emergency procedures to ensure safety. Qualifications** include at least two years of relevant experience or an equivalent background and a high school diploma or equivalent.Physical demands** may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing, with possible use of uniforms and PPE.
