Responsibilities
- Supervise and train dietary staff to ensure exceptional food service delivery
- Prepare and maintain employee work schedules
- Monitor attendance and professional appearance of dietary staff
- Oversee food distribution, ensuring proper portioning and tray arrangement
- Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of resident meal trays
- Assist with food preparation and service when needed
- Visit resident floors weekly to assess service quality and resident satisfaction
- Uphold sanitation standards in all kitchen and dining areas
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of food service equipment; report issues to Engineering/Maintenance
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a 90-hour course in food, nutrition, and personnel management in food service, or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
