Food Service Specialist

About the role

Join our top-notch food service team responsible for food service in our employee cafeteria. We promote and maintain the highest standard of health and safety while offering a stable work/life balance with a 5:30am – 2:00pm schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items in hot and cold food applications and café while following established food preparation procedures to meet mandated food safety standards.
• Perform daily cafeteria and café tasks such as washing dishes, unloading stock from deliveries, organizing and putting away inventory, and operating and balancing the cash register.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas while continuously improving operations.
• Complete daily assigned tasks and any related reports or logs.
• Deliver food to various buildings in all weather conditions; must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive to multiple locations.
• Lift and move materials and parts weighing up to 60 pounds as needed.
• Perform physical tasks including frequent lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, and repetitive hand motions such as gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and bending.
• Perform food preparation tasks requiring repetitive hand movements.
• Work standing in a kitchen setting for up to 8 hours per day.
• Work in a team environment and maintain professional communication.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective cafeteria and café functions.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year or more of related experience or training in food service preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Adequate math skills for operating a cash register and handling money.
• Upbeat and positive attitude; ability to work successfully within a team and individually.
• Kitchen knife skills preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
• Reliable, dependable, and organized.
• Ability to take direction.

Schedule

5:30am – 2:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Company-paid background check and physical required upon hire.
