About the Role

The Project Manager will assist in managing all Food Service operations within the region, promoting quality, cleanliness, and service while maintaining quality standards to ensure superior service. This role includes filling in at operations with vacant management positions and developing and implementing action plans for units not meeting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve complex issues using broad expertise, knowledge, and skills; contribute to the development of company objectives and goals.
  • Assist with strategic planning for the team and provide technical leadership to project teams.
  • Plan and manage project activities, including input into project plans for medium to large, complex initiatives with interdependencies.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to teams, departments, and business partners.
  • Proactively seek training and developmental activities related to the industry and recommend them for self and others.
  • Assist with identifying career development opportunities and develop training plans for team members.
  • Provide escalation assistance, recommend solutions, and resolve moderately complex issues.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, processes, and procedures; define and implement them for the team and assist with departmental standards.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics for the team.
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
  • Provide guidance to professional individual contributors and skilled support staff.
  • Create formal networks involving coordination among groups and interact daily with subordinate and functional peer groups to gain consensus.
  • Collaborate with subordinates and functional peer groups, including presentation and exchange of information.
  • Assist in managing outside vendor relationships.
  • Coach and mentor less senior team members individually or as a group.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and monitor activities of project teams involved in IT initiatives.
  • Follow and promote project management methodologies, standards, and procedures; recommend modifications to enhance outcomes.
  • Define project scope and objectives; develop project work plans, charters, baselines, and tracking documents.
  • Control project scope and budget; modify work plans to reflect approved scope changes.
  • Identify required skills and resource requirements; coordinate task-level dependencies.
  • Manage and track change requests; anticipate and identify project issues and risks; recommend and implement solutions.
  • Enforce conformance to quality standards and conduct quality assurance audits.
  • Create status reports for project sponsors and IT end-users, including key indicators of project progress, risk, and success.
  • Create ongoing and ad-hoc reports for IT and business management.
  • Conduct interim and post-project reviews; assess and recommend improvements for future projects.
  • Conduct weekly project issues/status meetings; document and distribute results.
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks, including tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables.
  • Perform task automation and implement process improvements; recommend enhancements for increased quality and service.
  • Maintain established service level agreements to manage customer expectations and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as determined by the needs of the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience accepted.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • At least five (5) years of Corrections experience in a large-scale food service operation is preferred.
  • Previous multi-unit supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical reports, journals, and financial reports.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as menu management, COG analysis, weekly operating reports, and financial statements.
  • Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering, receiving, and cost control is desired.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is required.
