Qualifications
- TASN Certificate (or actively working toward certification)
- Demonstrated organizational skills; ability to prioritize and organize daily work schedule
- Demonstrated math skills; ability to work with currency quickly and accurately
- Demonstrated listening, speaking, understanding, and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Able to work independently with limited direct supervision
- Physically capable of performing assigned duties:
- Frequently lift up to 60 lbs.
- Work with machinery
- Bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level
- Occasionally climb ladders, ramps, and stairs
- Continuous walking and standing
Schedule
- 180-day term of employment
- 7.5-hour shift
Pay
$19.02 per hour (NS-4 pay grade), based on verifiable job-related experience as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.
Responsibilities
- Participate as a member of the management team
- Meet with manager to complete scheduled training assignments
- Take an active role in learning all essential functions of a manager
- Assume the responsibilities of the manager at least once per week
- Attend all meetings and in-services scheduled by the Food Service Department
- Complete daily scheduled responsibilities
- Comply with employee standards of conduct (dress code, personal appearance, behavior, and punctuality) as specified in the Food Service Handbook
- Attend the Food Handling/Sanitation Certification Class required by department guidelines
- Maintain food manager certification as required by the department
- Comply with food handling procedures established by the Food Service Department
- Transfer to any food service unit and position within the district
- Work at any district facility; may be assigned as a substitute on a temporary or permanent basis as dictated by district needs
