About the role

The Food Service Manager oversees dining operations in a correctional facility, ensuring efficient delivery of prepared foods from a menu while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing team members using coaching models, rewarding performance, and ensuring team objectives align with client expectations
• Managing client relationships by communicating operational progress
• Maintaining financial performance through P&L management, cost controls, and performance metrics
• Optimizing productivity by implementing efficient operations and training staff
• Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and regulatory policies
• Leading front-of-house dining activities

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of management and food service experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to build client rapport
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
