Responsibilities

• Ensure the food service department is open and ready for business during food service hours
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers
• Communicate effectively with store associates
• Follow all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances pertaining to store operations
• Control food preparation to avoid waste while ensuring sufficient stock for customers
• Treat all associates with dignity and respect
• Advise store manager of any personnel situations or policy violations affecting store performance
• Assist in training new associates on proper job duties
• Follow all associate shift procedures and ensure a safe shopping and working environment
• Follow all safety rules and use protective equipment
• Use current plan-o-grams and communicate special needs or requests to the Manager
• Alert Manager about ordering merchandise to prevent out of stocks and maintain proper inventory
• Actively promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers
• Communicate the benefits of signing up and using the app
• Monitor transactions for potential misuse of points or discounts
• Assist customers on how to sign up and use the app for discounts and redemption
• Maintain food service appearance to company standards; keep display cases and glass clean
• Report maintenance problems that cannot be corrected immediately
• Keep all food service areas clean and follow all sanitation procedures
• Use ladders properly and follow lifting procedures per company policy
• Use wet floor signs per company policy
• Report accidents promptly to the Store Manager and Corporate office
