Job Grade 2, Tier 01 – Hospitality and Restaurant Operations – Supervisor role.

About the role

As a Food Service Foreman, you will lead a team of passionate and knowledgeable Food Service Workers who strive to exceed customer expectations by focusing on extraordinary customer experiences. You are responsible for understanding sales goals, planning and executing daily/weekly workloads to deliver on department and store sales goals as well as customer engagement. You will create schedules that align with customer and business needs and lead a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management on critical service and engagement behaviors. You will quickly respond to and de-escalate negative customer experiences and ensure that your team understands and is empowered to make things right for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the preparation and sale of food items during an assigned shift.
  • Receive, verify, and check quality of food/supply items.
  • Estimate and order food/supplies as required.
  • Greet each customer upon contact, assist by listening to needs, offering suggestions, and thanking customers for their business.
  • Resolve customer complaints at the lowest level and inform management of barriers to meeting optimal customer experience.
  • Prepare, maintain, and process accounting and facility operational reports.
  • Participate in the establishment and achievement of service and sales goals for the food operation.
  • Ensure optimum stock availability by supervising or participating in periodic stock counts and inventory, and update merchandise control records.
  • Maintain/control personnel cost and productivity standards.
  • Perform the duties of subordinate associates as required by workload.
  • Open and/or close the facility in accordance with published policies/regulations.
  • Ensure the security of cash, fixed assets, and inventory, and comply with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
  • Initiate work orders for repair and maintenance.
  • Supervise assigned associates: establish work schedules, assign and distribute work, counsel, prepare performance reviews, approve/disapprove leave slips, train associates, and recommend actions.
  • Enforce all name brand fast food (NBFF) and Exchange standards.
  • Complete ServSafe (5640) and applicable fast-food certification(s) within 90 days of hire.
  • Keep abreast of, actively support, and as required, implement provisions of pertinent public laws, executive orders, and directives relating to the Federal Equal Opportunity (EEO) program within the Exchange.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Six months of restaurant or related food service operations experience or successful completion of NBFF training or the Exchange Restaurant Operations Management Academy (ROMA).
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Able to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions.
  • Able to take initiative and share brand knowledge.
  • Able to lead teams to meet organizational objectives.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed.
  • Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Six months of food supervisory experience.

Pay

Salary range: $22.66 – $26.45 per hour.
