Food Service Executive Chef with Security Clearance

About the role

The Food Service Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of food service operations, including menu creation, food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and supervision of kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage menu creation and food preparations across all shifts.
• Cook or prepare food according to recipes, cut, trim, and bone meats, poultry, and fish.
• Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food items as needed.
• Supervise personnel engaged in preparing, cooking, and serving various types of food.
• Portion cooked foods and instruct workers on garnishing methods.
• Work within a budget and adjust menus to stay within targeted guidelines.
• Select and develop recipes based on the type of food to be prepared.

Requirements

• Knowledge of diverse cooking techniques, such as Mexican and Italian.
• Full knowledge of the job, with substantial acquaintance and understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.

Skills

• Substantial knowledge of culinary techniques and diverse cuisines.
• Ability to work within a budget and make informed menu adjustments.
• Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited culinary course.
• 5 to 7 years of related experience in food service or related field.
• Private sector chefs are highly preferred.
• Relevant professional experience may be considered.
