About the Role
The Food Service Director plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of running a large food service operation with one or more production kitchens. This position oversees the kitchen's operational and financial responsibilities. Responsibilities include supervising an Assistant Food Service Director and/or a team of Food Service Supervisors and/or Cooks involved with the preparation, serving, and clean-up of food in a secure correctional facility. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Five years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment
- Valid driver’s license
- ServSafe Certification
- Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods
- Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports
