About the role
The Food Service Director plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of a large food service operation within a secure correctional facility. This position oversees the kitchen's operational and financial responsibilities and supervises an Assistant Food Service Director and/or a team of Food Service Supervisors and/or Cooks.
Responsibilities

- Supervise an Assistant Food Service Director and/or a team of Food Service Supervisors and/or Cooks.
- Manage and apply kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
- Manage and apply basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Five years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- ServSafe Certification.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
- Basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.
