Food Service Director
About the role
The Food Service Director at Trinity Services Group is responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with health department codes and facility plans. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age, five years of management experience, and ServSafe certification.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and instruct team members and/or inmates in general food service practices
- Oversee the appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served according to facility or site plan
- Hire, orient, train, and issue corrective action to team members
- Review and approve payroll on a bi-weekly basis
- Build and maintain positive connections with clients through communication and service
- Coordinate the work flow and assign work to team members
- Ensure all team members are adequately trained and capable to perform job responsibilities safely
- Direct team members to ensure job-related rules, policies, procedures, and security guidelines are enforced
- Maintain accuracy of inventory in advance preparation of planned menu schedule
- Coordinate the work flow and assign work to team members
- Ensure ordering and all required reports are completed accurately and on time
- Knows and complies with client’s contractual obligations
- Ensure food items are stored in a safe and hazard free manner
- Plan for special events and functions
- May participate in the contract negotiation and renewal process
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience
- At least 18 years of age
- Five years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment
- ServSafe Certification
- Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods
- Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is preferred

Pay
$60,000.00/year
Schedule
Must be available to work between the hours of 7:00AM - 5:00PM, including some weekends and holidays.
