Food Service Director
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Director to join our team at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford, Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the food service department, including menu planning, food preparation, and serving
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including infection control, dietary, and food safety standards
- Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents, including those with special dietary requirements
- Manage and supervise a team of food service staff, including cooks, servers, and housekeeping personnel
- Monitor and control food costs, inventories, and labor costs to ensure efficient operations and budgetary compliance
- Develop and implement strategies to improve food quality, presentation, and taste
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement resident-centered care plans
- Ensure that all food service operations are conducted with the highest level of customer service and compassion
