- Cookery and sanitation of food
- Serving meals on time and safely
- Managing food supplies and budgets
- Training and supervising staff
- Communicating with residents and committees
- Procuring and maintaining equipment
- Handling financial transactions
- Providing in-service training
- Hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating staff
Requirements
- Current certification as a Food Service Director
- Four (4) years of experience preferred with at least two (2) years in long-term care
- Two (2) years of previous leadership experience in long-term care
