About the role
John Gross, a family-owned broadline food distributor, serves Central Pennsylvania and the surrounding region. We bring restaurant-quality meats, seafood, deli items, and specialty foods directly to the public, sourced from trusted suppliers for the area's finest restaurants, institutions, and foodservice professionals.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to provide knowledgeable, friendly service
- Cook and prepare a variety of food items
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are met
- Handle inventory and maintain stock levels
- Support the team in achieving operational goals
Requirements
- Experience in grocery and/or restaurant operations, commercial meal preparation, or food service management
- Enjoy engaging with customers and appreciating great food
- Passion for food and a commitment to quality service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food handling certification preferred
