Food Service Clerk - Mornings/ Afternoons

About the role

Lunds & Byerlys Apple Valley is currently hiring for a vibrant and outgoing part-time Morning Food Service Clerk to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a part-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $16.00-$18.00/hr. We operate 7 days/week and are open from 6:00am-10:00pm. For this position the employee would be scheduled a range of shifts between 7:00am-3:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting customers
• Slicing deli meats, cheeses, and breads
• Wrapping, weighing, and pricing deli items accurately
• Stocking, rotating, and staging deli merchandise to ensure quality and freshness
• Creating a welcoming and safe environment
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the department

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Customer service experience preferred; minimum of one (1) year experience in deli or food service

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification; communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

Pay

Competitive wage of $16.00-$18.00/hr. The actual rate of pay offered within the range may depend on several factors such as skills, knowledge, expertise, and experience. Our organization also values internal equity when making job offers. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.

Schedule

Part-time position with shifts scheduled between 7:00am-3:00pm. The store operates 7 days/week from 6:00am-10:00pm.
