Food Service Attendant - Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient trays and deliver/retrieve food trucks from patient floors.
• Pass patient trays to patients (excluding red-dot trays).
• Assist with scraping, washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, and pans.
• Deliver food supplies to different areas of the hospital as needed.
• Perform any duty assigned within the food and nutrition department.
• Deliver food trucks to appropriate nursing units at designated meal times and retrieve them according to department policies.
• Understand HASAP and proper food handling as part of safety programs.
• Participate in all staff meetings to support department goals and objectives.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures.
• Use time efficiently, maintain a clean work area, and follow the "clean as you go" method.
• Operate, load, and clean dish machines; record operating temperatures on the temperature sheet in the morning.
• Set up patient trays and nourishments by assembling prepared food and beverages in a timely manner.
• Work in the cafeteria, ensuring correct pricing when cashing out customers according to the price list.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Four weeks to become proficient with on-the-job training.
