Food Service Attendant - Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Patient tray assembly, delivery, and retrieval of food trucks from patient floors.
• Passing patient trays to patients (red dot excluded).
• Assisting with scraping, washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, and pans.
• Delivering food supplies to different areas of the hospital as needed.
• May be assigned any duty within the responsibility of the food and nutrition department.
• Delivers food trucks to the appropriate nursing units at designated meal times and picks up the trucks according to department policies.
• Understands HACCP and proper food handling.
• Participates in all staff meetings.
• Supports policies and procedures of the department.
• Uses time efficiently to complete work assignments, consistently using the "clean as you go" method and performing cleaning assignments to keep the work area clean and well-organized.
• May tend, load, and clean dish machines, and wash pots and pans; records operating temperatures on the temperature sheet in the morning.
• May set up patient trays and nourishments, assembling prepared food and beverages on trays for all diets in a timely manner.
• May work in the Cafeteria, consistently charging the correct price when cashing out customers according to the price list.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Four weeks to become proficient with on-the-job training.
