About the role
Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Food Service Associate II for its Firehouse team at the Baptist Downtown campus in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN (as‑needed) position with support for various shifts, typically 1‑2 times per week, including weekends and holidays. The role is located at the Downtown – 841 Building.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical duties, including operating the cash register.
- Handle food safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, including dishwashing, warewashing, and bussing.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Follow safe food and work standards.
- Obtain and fulfill orders placed by patients, staff, and visitors.
- Cross‑train in other food service tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of food service experience (preferred).
- Less than 1 year of cooking experience (preferred).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (preferred).
