Food Service Assistant
About the role
The Food Service Worker is responsible for routine daily tasks related to patient food service. These tasks include tray assembly, portioning of food, preparation of snacks, tube feedings, and supplements, delivery of floor stock and special items to the units, and delivery of patient meal trays into patients' rooms. Ensures that all tasks are completed safely and in strict adherence to Food and Nutrition cleaning/sanitation policies and other related procedures. Provides the highest level of customer service at all times.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or its equivalent, preferred
- One year of experience in healthcare food and nutrition services preferred
- Clerical experience preferred

About the facility
HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County offering preventative and elective programs and surgeries. The hospital is an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center and provides:
- Emergency services
- A dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU
- A full-service Children’s Hospital
- Outpatient rehabilitation and an aquatics center
