Food Service Aide - Per Diem/PRN
About the role
Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Food Service Aide (FSA) / Dietary Aide to support our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The position offers a competitive compensation of $19.00 / hourly plus a shift differential, and includes an orientation program and company-matching 401(k) retirement plan.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services and dish room services.
- Be an integral part of the food preparations, serving of the prepared food to patients, families, staff and visitors.
- Assist in clean up.
- Provide quality work, show knowledge of the job and good decision making.
- Be timely and efficient when preparing food.
- Provide high quality food preparation and service.
- Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work.
- Volunteer to help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
- Demonstrate reliability and dependability in your work.
- Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous healthcare food service experience preferred.
- Must be available to work Six (6) shifts per Six (6) week schedule; Three (3) must be on the Weekend (Saturday's or Sunday's).
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability and dependability, have a positive attitude, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. They should also have excellent communication and organizational skills.
