Food Server, Drafts Sportsbar PT

About the Role

As a Food Server, your primary responsibility is to take and deliver customer orders, maintain tables, ensure guest satisfaction, and finalize checks. You will also perform side work and general cleaning of assigned stations.

This is a part-time position located at Gold Strike Casino.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome.
• Demonstrate knowledge of selling techniques and service delivery of menu items for every course, including non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain table cleanliness using a silent service approach.
• Itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure payment.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned areas, side stations, tables, and Point of Sale (POS) stations.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
• Communicate with management, chefs, and culinary staff to address any issues or needs requested by guests or other employees.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of Food and Beverage experience in a high-paced environment.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Skills

• Knowledgeable of menu items, including characteristics of wine, champagne, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes.
• Familiarity with standard kitchen equipment and supplies, such as toasters, refrigerators, coolers, slicers, and beverage machines.
• Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Proficient with computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and activities to respond accurately to guest inquiries.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for effective communication with all business contacts.
