Responsibilities

• Serve guests in a pleasant and friendly manner
• Answer questions about food and drinks
• Greet new seated guests
• Take beverage and food orders
• Merchandise menu items
• Ring up orders quickly and accurately
• Follow alcohol awareness procedures
• Ensure guest satisfaction and address additional needs
• Maintain table appearance and total bills
• Accept payments and provide change or credit card vouchers
• Give a warm farewell to guests
• Clean and set up station appropriately
• Attend shift meetings and follow company policies
• Provide a positive image of the company
• Cash out with manager at the end of the shift

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate POS system
• Must be able to make change and process credit card transactions
• Must be able to respond calmly to angry guests
• Must be able to carry trays with food
• Must be able to pass bar validation
• Must be able to read menus to sight-impaired guests
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe
• Must be able to hear well in noisy environments
• Must be able to carry oval trays with food
• Must be able to effectively card guests under certain ages
