Food Safety Team Member - Portland, OR

About the role

Our mission is to protect the food supply by eliminating risks so families everywhere can eat without fear. As a Food Safety Sanitor, you will perform sanitation labor by following the eight steps of sanitation while complying with all food safety and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, face shield, eye goggles, aprons, boots, and safety glasses.
• Work with exposure to chemicals (with required PPE).
• Perform tasks requiring all-night standing, lifting, and crouching for extended periods.
• Perform all tasks safely and use Lock-out tag-out (LOTO).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and instruction from managers and be accountable for own actions.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Work Environment

This position involves working in wet, hot, or cold environments while wearing Personal Prote Equipment (PPE). Shift may vary depending on location.
