Food Safety & QA Technician - 12hr Day Manufacturing

About the role

As a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician, you will ensure adherence to Safe Quality Food Standards, including quality, food safety, and product aesthetics. You will follow established processes to maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, BRC standards, and product quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collect and enter swab results into the database.
• Review results to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Provide feedback to operators and manufacturing managers regarding non-conforming products and packaging.
• Communicate results using established methods.
• Ensure assigned areas remain clean by following established cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Inform the Quality and Production Manager of any food safety issues.
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and job instructions.
• Take corrective actions when measures are out of specification.
• Take and document required process and quality measures to meet or exceed established targets.
• Follow the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and BRC food safety standards.
• Perform routine cleaning and general maintenance of the workspace as assigned.
• Verify all product produced by Tandem Foods meets customer specifications (e.g., Brix, Moisture).
• Verify production processes to meet company and customer standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, alerting team leaders and managers of idle time.
