Food Safety Manager

Join us in a fast-paced leadership role where you will drive food safety excellence across our manufacturing operations. Ensure compliance with Kellanova food safety policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards while working closely with plant leadership, quality teams, and operations partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve site food safety and environmental monitoring programs, including inspections, traceability, testing, microbiological controls, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Collaborate with plant leadership, quality teams, and operations partners to identify risks, implement best practices, and strengthen food safety performance across the facility.
• Develop, coach, and support a direct report while fostering accountability and engagement in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate internal and third-party audits, manage corrective actions, maintain HACCP and food safety program compliance, and support certification requirements.
• Drive sustainable improvements in food safety systems, processes, and employee training to enhance operational execution and product protection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific field, OR significant equivalent experience in food safety and quality.
• HACCP Certification.
• PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) Certification.
• Technical expertise in food safety systems, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience leading food safety programs within a food manufacturing environment.
• Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States (Kellanova does not sponsor employment visas for this role).

Pay

The annual salary range is $107,400 - $141,015, based on factors such as location, experience, and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
