About the role

Join our dynamic team as a Food Runner / Expeditor. In this key role, you will ensure the smooth and precise delivery of orders from the kitchen to guests' tables, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. You will facilitate communication between the front and back of house teams by calling out orders, tracking dish status, and notifying waitstaff when dishes are ready.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all orders are completed accurately, on time, and with the correct priority.
• Perform finishing touches on dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges.
• Assist servers, bartenders, and guests by taking orders and delivering requested items efficiently.
• Engage with guests about their needs and satisfaction with food and beverages, ensuring high-quality service.
• Operate, maintain, and clean all restaurant equipment and fittings.
• Keep the expediting area, restaurant outlets, and storage spaces tidy, organized, and well-stocked.
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards, including proper temperature.
• Check in with guests upon delivery of dishes to confirm they have everything they need.

Requirements

• Prior experience in customer service or a similar role, preferably in a luxury setting.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on department needs.
• Strong communication skills in English.
