Food Runner

Responsibilities

• Engage guests promptly and warmly
• Anticipate and fulfill guests’ needs
• Ensure food and service meet Wood Ranch standards
• Communicate with guests to create a positive, lasting impression
• Ensure and promote safety and cleanliness
• Participate in team pre-bussing, running food, and assisting other team members
• Carry hot and cold plates to guests
• Lift and carry trays with 6-7 drinks
• Serve alcohol following safe alcohol service guidelines per local, state, and federal laws
• Prepare beverages, desserts, and soups
• Perform light duties, including stocking stations and side work assignments
• Communicate openly with management regarding any work-related concerns
• Process payments, including making change for cash payments

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a server assistant (or similar position)
• Preferably able to work 5 shifts a week
• Must speak English
• Must be outgoing, charismatic, proactive, approachable, guest-centric, and positive
• Food Handler’s Card required
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to solve problems, adapt to change quickly, and multi-task
• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed
• Continuous use of hands and arms; continuous bending, reaching, and twisting
