Responsibilities

• Ensure food reaches the correct guest in a timely manner.
• Transport food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate table and announce the food to the guest.
• Keep a smile while cleaning, setting, and re-setting tables continuously, assuming responsibility for station, tables, and side duties.
• Work with the team to exceed guests’ expectations and provide the Nando’s experience.

Requirements

• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
• Knowledge and comprehension of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Basic English language and professional communication skills are required.
• Able to independently lift up to 15 lbs for an extended period.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs with food items and dishes throughout the shift.
• Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8–10 hours per day.
• Hand‑eye coordination.
• Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping.
• Pushing and pulling.
• Lifting overhead.
• Must be able to climb stairs in restaurants that have multiple levels.

Pay

At Nando's, we believe in offering competitive pay that reflects the value you bring, the impact you'll make on our team, and the local market. Current pay ranges for this position include:

• Washington, DC: $18.40–$20.00 per hour
• Virginia: $13.00–$18.00 per hour
• Maryland: $15.00–$19.00 per hour
• Illinois: $15.00–$19.00 per hour
• Georgia: $13.00–$18.00 per hour
• Texas: $13.00–$18.00 per hour
