Key Purpose The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless dining experience by delivering dishes from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately. This position supports the wait staff in a fine dining environment, maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation. The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 per hour - $20.60 per hour . Work Hours The work hours for this position may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence Ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and interact with all customers to help build and speak about the culture of Guckenheimer/ISSDevelop and maintain good relations with cooks, servers, porters, and managersGreet, smile, make eye contact, and make customers feel welcome Ideal Candidate Experience Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in fine dining and executive-level serviceKnowledge of food principles and processes for providing customer serviceKnowledge and skill in standard fine dining service techniquesMust be able to work cooperatively with all co-workers, treating them with courtesy and respect alwaysMust act professionally to set an example for all others, even when acting in the capacity of a wait personStrong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Key Accountabilities Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately.Confirm that each dish matches the order ticket and meets presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.Assist servers by explaining dishes to guests when necessary.Maintain clear communication between the kitchen and dining room to ensure timely service.Help keep service stations organized and stocked.Support the wait staff during peak hours by clearing plates and resetting tables when needed.Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.Comply with all SERV Safe and HACCP programs and principlesRespond to customer concerns professionally and urgently per company policyMust follow all safety rules and be actively aware and observant in the prevention of accidentsCommitment to the service values and ethics per the company’s standardAssist internal and external guests, place requests, and answer inquiries in a friendly mannerAdminister efficient delivery of food and drinks to the dinner table to ensure good dining servicesPerform end-of-shift closeout tasksProvide exceptional table service to our customers and maintain the table appearanceMust follow other duties as assigned Physical Demands & Work Environment Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaksMust be able to lift a minimum of 25lbsCome to work properly dressed according to the dress codeEmployees must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods HSEQ Compliance: All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
