About the role

The Food Retail and Brand Location Supervisor oversees the food service operation, ensuring appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served. Responsibilities include overseeing setup, breakdown, and sanitation of workstations, supervising cooking and preparation of food items, maintaining inventory, delegating tasks, providing coaching and feedback, training staff, and maintaining customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of setup, breakdown, and sanitation of workstations
• Supervision of cooking and preparation of food items according to recipes and brand requirements
• Maintenance of safe, organized, and hazard-free food storage environments
• Accurate inventory management according to departmental policies and procedures
• Delegation of tasks to employees as necessary
• On-going coaching and performance feedback to staff members
• Aid in manager-led employee counselling sessions, timekeeping, and maintaining contact information
• Training and mentoring of other food service workers
• Maintaining excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
• Adherence to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation
• Maintaining communication with staff (email, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc.)

Requirements

• Previous experience as a supervisor in a related role preferred
• Prior experience in the food and hospitality industry required
• Strong leadership, time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively solve problems and make decisions
• Basic computer skills and ability to quickly learn new technology systems

Qualifications

• Physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
• May require uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE)
