Food Processing Operator

About the Role

As an Operator at Rite Stuff Foods, you will join our production team, ensuring the integrity and quality of our products through proper machine operation, recipe adherence, troubleshooting, and deviation correction. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintain compliance with GMP and SQF standards and facilitate efficient system operations.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety protocols to ensure employee well-being.
• Operate, set up, and load food processing equipment.
• Control flow rates, temperatures, and pressures of machinery.
• Weigh, check, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Monitor ingredient mixes and make adjustments during production.
• Maintain food quality and facility cleanliness standards.
• Read and interpret operating instructions, procedures, and spec sheets.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and mechanical tasks.
• Record production data, including output, downtime, and causes.
• Collect and inspect samples during processing.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Support continuous improvement and predictive maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High School Education preferred.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) programs.
• Experience operating and starting up industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of basic safety procedures, PPE, SOPs, and LOTO.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes of problems.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments and calibration.
• Fluent or advanced English; Spanish is an advantage but not required.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
