About the Role

Responsible for all food and beverage, activities operations, and fitness programs. Oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintains standards, and maximizes financial performance in areas of responsibility. Reinforces appropriate culture to provide service to guests and strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction. Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations. Develops and implements business plans for food and beverage, activities, and fitness programs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages all financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans and actions for Food and Beverage and Activities departments.
• Maintains a positive cost management index for kitchen, restaurant operations, activities, and fitness programs.
• Manages all day-to-day operations, including supervising and managing employees.
• Monitors quality and standards to meet customer expectations daily.
• Schedules events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
• Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
• Manages outside vendors related to food and beverage, recreation, and activities functions.
• Orders and manages necessary supplies, ensuring employees have the tools and equipment needed.
• Develops and manages group activities and events for all ages, including children's programs.
• Drives financial performance of food and beverage operations, recreation, and activities to ensure optimal revenue.
• Communicates theming directions, projects, and timelines to property and corporate leaders.
• Partners with other department heads to enhance the Owner/Guest experience through food and beverage events and resort activities.
• Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors and sets service expectations.
• Responds quickly and proactively to guest concerns, improving service through guidance and coaching.
• Oversees employee and guest satisfaction results, ensuring corrective action is taken when needed.
• Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
• Identifies developmental needs and coaches employees to improve knowledge or skills.
• Participates in the performance appraisal system and coordinates training activities.
• Reviews turnover reports monthly and adjusts talent acquisition strategies accordingly.
• Complies with all corporate accounting procedures and ensures effective departmental communication.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
• OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
• Knowledge or experience in recreation/health club operations or related professional area is desired.

Pay

$78,000 - $83,750 per year
