MarketingFull-time

USA TODAY Co., Inc. is a diversified media company with expansive reach at the national and local level dedicated to empowering and enriching communities. We seek to inspire, inform, and connect audiences as a sustainable, growth-focused media and digital marketing solutions company. Through our trusted brands, including the USA TODAY NETWORK and Newsquest in the United Kingdom, we provide essential journalism, local content, and digital experiences.

About the role

The Bucks County Courier Times, part of the USA Today Network, is seeking a food and dining reporter who is as comfortable on Main Street telling the stories of folks with big dreams and new kitchens and innovative menus as they are contributing to USA Today's award-winning restaurant-focused coverage, including roundups, profiles, and rankings. This beat covers the food, economy, and scene in some of Bucks County’s most dynamic towns, uncovering hidden gems and keeping readers informed about openings, closings, and trends—from high-end spots to local favorites. The reporter will also contribute grocery-focused consumer content and produce quick videos, feature videos, and social media content to bring stories to life.

This is not a reviewer or influencer role; it’s about covering the business of food and how it shapes how we work, live, and play in Bucks County.

Responsibilities

  • Report on the food and dining scene in Bucks County, from local eateries to high-end establishments.
  • Contribute to USA Today’s restaurant-focused coverage, including roundups, profiles, and rankings.
  • Produce grocery-focused consumer content.
  • Create quick videos, feature videos, and social media content to engage audiences.
  • Develop sources and stories for beat coverage, working collaboratively with local and regional teams.
  • Uphold journalistic values of fairness, diversity, inclusion, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a reporter/writer.
  • Proven experience with content management systems and social media channels.
  • Strong writing skills and command of grammar and style.
  • Curiosity about the food and dining scene, with a focus on the business side.
  • Experience with multimedia, including video and podcasting.
  • Self-starter who can own the beat while collaborating with others.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Driver’s license and a car.

Key Considerations

  • Demonstrated ability to build audience through social media and beat development.
  • Commitment to fairness, diversity, inclusion, and professionalism in journalism.
