Pay
Hourly wage: $16 - $29 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives and premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

About the role
Food and Consumable associates are focused on two things: taking care of customers and creative merchandising. They move incoming merchandise out to the sales floor and create seasonal display features to meet the needs of the customer.
As a Food and Consumable Associate at Walmart, you will play a key role in ensuring customers have access to the products they need every day. Your day will include unloading trucks, moving merchandise to the sales floor, stocking shelves, and creating attractive displays. You will also help maintain a clean and organized backroom and sales floor, ensuring products are easy to find and in good condition. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in helping customers find what they need.
Responsibilities
- Unload and sort incoming merchandise
- Move merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor
- Stock shelves and ensure products are easy to find
- Build and maintain attractive seasonal and promotional displays
- Rotate and organize merchandise to keep the sales floor fresh and appealing
- Maintain a clean and organized backroom and sales area
- Assist customers with locating products and answering questions
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and food handling guidelines
- Work as part of a team to meet store goals and deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Basic math skills for counting and organizing merchandise
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous retail or stocking experience is a plus, but not required
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply for this position
