Food Cashier - Seasonal

About the Role

Sell food and beverage items using a computerized register system. This is a seasonal, hourly position.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in the selection and purchase of food and beverages.
• Know all menu items, including pricing and availability.
• Understand all discounts, special pricing, or daily promotions.
• Verify that each guest has paid the correct price for their purchase.
• Maintain counters, floors, and food service areas, keeping them clean and sanitary.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Manage the till, count start cash, and prepare nightly deposit bags.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and diplomatically.
• Ensure the register area is properly staffed and secured at all times.
• Assist with packaging, pricing, and labeling food and beverage items.
• Work weekends and holidays if required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Skilled in providing excellent customer service.
• Working knowledge of computers or POS software programs.
• Able to count cash and perform simple mathematical functions.
• Able to work well under fast-paced and busy circumstances.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Portray a positive company image.
• Cashier experience preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Schedule

Pay

$16.50 per hour. Returning employees earn $16.75 per hour.
