About the role

As the in-store Food Category Expert, you will ensure all food operational execution standards are followed to maximize sales and reduce waste. You will train, teach, and coach store associates on food execution, production, replenishment, ordering, organization, sanitization, and customer service, serving as the go-to person for food-related questions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute food sampling for employees and customers.
• Conduct and lead in-store training for employees and operation teams on all new Foodservice programs, modeling an established train-the-trainer program.
• Follow up with refresher training activities for store employees as needed.
• Ensure foodservice areas are stocked and food is rotated using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
• Display food items using the current Planogram provided by your Business Unit.
• Order or assist in ordering food products to lower Out of Stocks and improve shrink.
• Monitor shrink while improving sales to maximize foodservice profit.
• Identify, suggest, train, and collaborate with BUQAS training personnel to ensure manager and store employee Foodservice training programs are delivered.
• Conduct food safety practices and procedures.
• Perform needs analysis and provide recommended actions based on BUQAS visits.
• Operate within budgeted expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Fast Moving Consumer Goods retail and/or the Foodservice industry.
• Experience in training, leadership, and team building.
• Food Manager Certification (approved certifications include ServSafe and NRFSPS).

Skills

• Strong collaboration, cooperation, communication, and organization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (French skills required in Quebec Provinces).
• Customer service-oriented with a focus on delivering excellent service.
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with customers, management, associates, and vendors.

Pay

$15.00 to $20.00 per hour

Schedule

Full time, flexible shift availability (Days, Evenings, Overnights + Weekends).
