About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Director of Food & Beverage to join our team at Courtyard Downtown Little Italy. This role is ideal for passionate hoteliers eager to grow with a rapidly expanding organization that values an inclusive, employee-focused workplace.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for budgeted revenues and expenses, improving profitability related to the Food & Beverage Department.
- Monitors budgets in all areas of cost control, with a consistent focus on inventory, sales, and payroll costs.
- Increases guest satisfaction through delivery of outstanding products and service.
- Understands and executes all brand directives for strategic partners, including compliance with brand-dictated menus and programs.
- Directs daily activities and assignments of staff, ensuring appropriate coverage, developing departmental strategies and goals, and assigning/prioritizing work.
- Provides direct oversight of banquet and catering operations, including managerial and captain oversight.
- Partners with the Sales Department to review F+B minimums and selling guidelines, and collaborates on sales and marketing strategies.
- Ensures compliance with all Brand Standards related to Food and Beverage.
- Reviews and approves all menus and pricing in restaurant outlets and banquet/catering.
- Evaluates food product, front-of-house employee performance, and ensures product development aligns with market position.
- Develops selection and pricing strategies for liquors and wines, and supervises their procurement.
- Oversees ongoing maintenance of physical assets through capital planning as required in the budget process.
- Follows all health and safety regulations.
- Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and coaches employees; addresses complaints and problem-solves.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school education; post-high school education preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality/Restaurant Management or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Director of Food & Beverage.
- Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (if applicable).
Skills
- Knowledge of alcohol serving practices and standards.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws, as well as local health and sanitation regulations.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring restaurant, bar, and culinary talent.
- Experience managing restaurants and bars in the capacity of Assistant General Manager or higher.
- Extensive passion for and understanding of the restaurant and bar industry, with a proven track record of success.

Pay
Compensation range: $110,000 - $120,000.
