As a Technical Sales Intern in our summer 2027 Food & Beverage program, you will gain hands-on experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry, helping to increase food safety, product quality, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with existing Account Managers in customer plant environments, focusing on food safety and food quality using effective sanitation products and processes.
• Assist in developing sanitation plans and programs, evaluating processes, and identifying operational efficiencies.
• Learn the daily responsibilities of an Ecolab Account Manager and work on value-added projects, presenting findings to leadership at the end of the summer.
• Cultivate business relationships with plant staff through professional demeanor and interpersonal skills.
• Apply mechanical aptitude to repair, adjust, test, and install Ecolab chemical dispensing systems and food, beverage, and dairy processing equipment, including clean-in-place (CIP) systems.
• Monitor product performance and adjust chemical concentration levels to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide industry expertise and training to customers on plant sanitation, standard operating procedures, and food safety/quality issues.
• Introduce new product/service offerings to existing accounts to enhance disinfection in plant facilities.
• Learn how to successfully prospect to generate new business.

Position Details

This is an 11-week paid internship program starting on Tuesday, June 1st, 2027. Relocation within the United States may be required, with nationwide locations available. Relocation assistance may be provided. The role offers a hybrid work environment, balancing field days with remote work.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, or chemistry with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record, with access to a personal vehicle.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds chest high.

Pay

Annual or hourly compensation range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, and geography. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
