About the role
This is a part-time Food & Beverage Attendant position with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department at Rockwood Golf course. The role works up to 14 hours per week with no benefits and requires working some evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position receives supervision from the Senior Food and Beverage Attendant or assigned management personnel and allows you to earn tips.
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of duties relative to the daily operations of the Golf Snack Bar including opening and closing
- Prepare and sell food and drinks
- Assist with check-in and stock of merchandise
- Prepare meals for large groups
- Assist with monthly inventories
- Follow and ensure proper cash controls are maintained in accordance with City cash handling policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (no previous experience required)
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail and point-of-sale experience
- Knowledge and experience at a public or private golf facility
- Valid TABC certificate
- Valid City of Fort Worth Food Handler’s certificate or approved Food Handler’s certificate recognized by the City of Fort Worth
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require:
- Touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, and repetitive motions
- Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
Pay
$18.00 – $20.84 per hour
