Food and Nutrition Services - Utility Clerk
About the role
The Utility Clerk assists in maintaining records for ordering, receiving, and stocking inventory under the general direction of the Food and Nutrition Services Manager/Supervisor. Responsibilities include counting materials, equipment, and supplies in stock, maintaining records manually or using a computer, and assisting with the unloading and loading of supplies to ensure accurate and proper stocking within the Food and Nutrition Services Department. The role also involves maintaining sanitary and clean kitchen, galley, and common areas, contributing to team efforts, and demonstrating professionalism and good customer interactions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking inventory.
- Maintain records of materials, equipment, and supplies manually or using a computer.
- Assist in unloading and loading supplies, ensuring deliveries are accurate and properly stocked.
- Ensure sanitary and clean kitchen, galley, and common areas.
- Contribute to team efforts and demonstrate professionalism in customer interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, or one year of equivalent experience/training; relevant experience may substitute for education.
- One year of experience in food stock and inventory preferred.
- ServSafe Certification required within 30 days of hire.
Skills
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
