Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of the food service department, including staffing, food ordering, meal preparation, food delivery, food safety, and kitchen sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with community policies, physician orders, resident care plans, and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Assure quality nutritional services are provided daily.
• Supervise food service staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler Level II or similar food safety certification per state requirement.
• Certified food service manager, or equivalent national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body.
• Associate’s or higher degree in food service management or hospitality (with coursework in food service or restaurant management) from an accredited institution, where applicable.
