The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, accurate pricing, and proper signage. This role focuses on operations, process efficiency, and leading food services, including replenishment, inventory, food safety, presentation, and promotions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences, prioritizing guest needs over tasks.
  • Uphold and maintain Food & Beverage standards.
  • Execute processes like food deliveries, replenishment, merchandising, inventory accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, and organizing reserve products.
  • Follow food safety requirements as per Target’s policies.
  • Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
  • Work with vendors to set and maintain salesfloor displays and organized backroom spaces.
  • Identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items.
  • Assist guests with product knowledge and solve issues.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
  • Use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment.
  • Support guest services like cashiering, order pick-up, and drive-up.
  • Greet guests and provide assistance as needed.
  • Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old (Bakery Only).
  • Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Resolve guest questions quickly.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
  • Remain composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Skills

  • Guest service fundamentals and building a guest-first culture.
  • Knowledge of food seasonality, freshness, quality, and safety standards.
  • Understanding of department sales trends, inventory, and pricing strategies.
  • Merchandising and promotional signing processes.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $18.25 USD.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
  • Work in temperatures ranging from 34°F to -10°F.
  • Work in spaces with common allergens.
  • Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
