About the role

The role of a Food & Beverage Expert at Target provides a unique opportunity to enhance guest experiences, manage inventory, and ensure operational excellence. This position requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with both guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, prioritizing guest needs over tasks.
• Execute Food & Beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, straightening merchandise, and maintaining in-stock routines.
• Follow food safety protocols and use sampling and suggestive selling techniques to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to organize and maintain salesfloor merchandise displays and ensure organized backroom space.
• Identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items according to Target’s policies.
• Use knowledge of the total store and specific area to resolve guest issues and improve their shopping experience.
• Comply with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming manner and support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up, and drive-up services.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old (Bakery only).
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Quickly resolve guest questions and maintain attention to detail.
• Capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
