About the Role
The Server delivers exceptional hospitality on board, ensuring guests enjoy a safe, entertaining, and memorable dining experience while adhering to the company’s RESPECT service standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as outlined in the RESPECT service system.
- Greet guests and serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
- Accurately take orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations.
- Participate in the guest experience by contributing to celebrations and entertainment.
- Set up and break down dining areas and service stations, including moving furniture.
- Accurately process guest payments for on-board purchases.
- Provide guests with information about the menu, service flow, entertainment, cruise route, and points of interest.
- Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled shifts.
- Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
- Assist with greeting and seating guests upon arrival.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Ability to work extended periods without sitting.
- Capability to lift furniture and heavy items (e.g., dishes) up and down stairs.
- Must meet minimum state age requirements.
- Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills: assess situations, identify relevant issues, and suggest solutions.
- Working knowledge of computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to effectively convey and understand written and verbal information with coworkers and guests.
- Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and all major holidays.
