The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, accurate pricing, and proper signage. This role focuses on operations, process efficiency, and leading food services, including replenishment, inventory, food safety, presentation, and promotional strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences, prioritizing guest needs over tasks.
  • Uphold and maintain Food & Beverage standards.
  • Execute processes such as food deliveries, replenishment, merchandising, inventory accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, and organizing reserve products.
  • Follow food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies.
  • Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
  • Work with vendors to set and maintain salesfloor displays and organized backroom spaces.
  • Identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items according to policies.
  • Assist guests by providing information on purchasing, storage tips, and solving issues.
  • Execute federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
  • Use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment, following safety guidelines.
  • Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pick-up, and drive-up, ensuring compliance with laws.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
  • Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Skills

  • Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture.
  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage business fundamentals: sales trends, inventory, quality, guest shopping patterns, and pricing strategies.
  • Understanding of food seasonality, freshness, quality, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
  • Capability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only).
  • Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and technology.
  • Resolve guest questions quickly.

Requirements

  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
  • Climb up and down ladders.
  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise, including lifting up to 44 pounds.
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 34°F to -10°F.
  • Work in spaces where common allergens may be present.
  • Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

The Starting Hourly Rate is $17.75 USD per hour. The Pay Range is $17.75 USD - $26.65 USD per hour.
