The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, accurate pricing, and signage. This role focuses on operations, process efficiency, and leading food services, including replenishment, inventory, food safety, and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, prioritizing their needs over tasks.
• Uphold Food & Beverage standards and execute processes like deliveries, replenishment, and merchandise organization.
• Follow food safety requirements and Target’s policies for handling damaged, recalled, or expired items.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to maintain and update salesfloor displays and backroom organization.
• Execute federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment, following safety guidelines.
• Support guest services like cashiering, order pick-up, and drive-up, ensuring compliance with laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (Bakery Only).
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices, operate handheld scanners, and use technology.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly and follow multi-step processes.
• Remain composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Skills

• Guest service fundamentals and building a guest-first culture.
• Knowledge of food seasonality, freshness, quality, and safety standards.
• Understanding of department sales trends, inventory, and pricing strategies.
• Ability to handle cash register operations, climb ladders, and lift up to 44 pounds.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Capability to work in temperature-controlled environments (34°F to -10°F) and around allergens.

Pay

The Starting Hourly Rate is $17.25 USD per hour. The Pay Range is $17.25 USD - $25.90 USD per hour.
