Food and Beverage Coordinator
Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge Collection is a luxurious and soulful retreat steeped in heritage in Santa Fe, New Mexico. About the role
As Food and Beverage Coordinator, you will ensure guest satisfaction through exceptional food and beverage offerings. You will oversee daily floor operations, maintain knowledge of all menu items and quality standards, and act as an ambassador for the hotel’s values, fostering a culture of teamwork and service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Train and mentor staff on training calendars, sequence of service, and menu descriptions.
- Ensure the highest level of guest service is consistently delivered in restaurant and bar areas.
- Monitor house count, arrivals/departures, VIPs, and handle all guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Carry out front-of-house food and beverage duties as needed to support a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Oversee opening and closing duties, update menu prices, and assist with order management based on business levels.
- Coordinate with the Chef on daily specials and updates.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of liquor brands, wines, champagnes, and food menu items.
- Ensure staff adherence to schedules, coordinate breaks, and inspect grooming and attire.
- Expedite on the floor or in the kitchen as needed.
- Conduct training programs, lead daily line-ups, and maintain communication with the Director of Food and Beverage.
Requirements
- Two years of upscale food service experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of wine and spirit service.
- Basic computer skills.
- High school graduate.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
- Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications.
